We got another little mini blizzard out here. Fun stuff. This time I was prepared and had actually gone grocery shopping the day before. Yay for food.

I just watched Man of the Year(Robin Williams, Christopher Walken, etc) and it was absolutely fantastic. Without spoiling anything, basic premise to start with is a fake news style host ala John Stewart, runs for president. I can't recommend it enough and think everyone should go out and see it.
Also, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but Rocky Balboa was great and if you liked any of the Rocky movies, you should see it. Probably the best of them all. Very poignant. And it has Milo Ventimiglia in it(Peter Petrelli from heroes) I suppose some of this could have been my extremely low expectations, but wow. Now don't get me wrong, its still a Rocky movie, so don't expect TOO much, but I was quite impressed. In some ways watching Stallone in this movie felt the same to me as watching Bill Murray in Lost in Translation. (But please don't think I'm putting them in the same league, hehe)
Yeah, I figured it was time to put something up here.
Just got through a major blizzard here in Denver. On Wednesday it was so bad in the morning that I went ahead and parked my car at the nearby park and ride and took the train into work. The train ride back took 3 hours due to various and sundry "train is broken down" style delays, but I finally got to my car. This was followed by a harrowing 3 block drive to my house travelling by multiple cars stuck in various snow drifts. I finally made it home only to get stuck in a drift of my own just outside my house. Lovely.
On Thursday with the help of some nice neighbors and about 3 hours of time(digging out the underside of my car since it was highcentered for example) I finally managed to get my car back where it belongs.
Today I came into work again, via train, and it was again delayed, but other then that, the major drama seems to be over.

Now for some fun stuff. Firstly, it appears that You Don't Know Jack has risen from the ashes as a sort of web game. I recommend checking it out as its awesome. :)
For those familiar with the new Nintendo Wii, there is a game on there about crazy bunnies. The Penny Arcade guys did a couple of their own takes on them for Ubisoft:
"If you've played Raving Rabbids then you're familiar with the crazy bunnies and the sorts of things they do and don't like to do. See all the mini games have funny names like "Bunnies don't like being disturbed on vacation" or "Bunnies are addicted to carrot juice". We thought these names were great and so when Ubi asked us to do something for Raving Rabbids we decided to make up a few of our own and then illustrate them as one panel comics. Thanks to Joe Pekar who colored these for me. He did a great job as usual. You can see our finished products over on the Rayman site."
This last link might not survive, so be ready to do some digging if it doesn't work, but its so worth it. SNL is pretty lame nowadays, but the most recent show with Justin Timberlake had a fucking hilarious skit on it. Try viewing it here. But if that doesn't work, search for variations on "Its my Dick in a box" on youtube. :)
