Xbox 360

So the Xbox 360 is really awesome. It seems kind of silly to say, but one of the best parts about it is how slick and easy to use it is. Such great UI work. Most of my time with it has thus far been spent with one game in particular though, Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Its essentially a street racing game with lots of "thugged out" stylings, but its really ridiculously fun and oh so pretty. Also gotten some time in with some old school Joust, Gauntlet, and Smash TV. I've dabbled with some King Kong, Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark, and Kameo, but not enough to form any significant impressions.

Thanksgiving this year consisted of myself, Tommy, Chris and Jenn scarfing down on some Boston Market catered food. Was pretty good, although it would have been better if we had gotten the Turkey I ordered rather than ham. :(

Oh Yeah, DM

I never posted about this for some reason, but the Depeche Mode concert was stellar, as expected. They played pretty much all of my priorities. :) Overall, out of the six or so times I've seen them I'd rank this about 3rd. But even the worst time was better then most concerts I've seen. I have a few phone cam videos I might post later on if I can master the technology. Here's the setlist including the two encores for those interested:

Intro
A Pain That I'm Used To
John The Revelator
A Question Of Time
Policy Of Truth
Precious
Walking In My Shoes
Suffer Well
Damaged People
Home
I Want It All
The Sinner In Me
I Feel You
Behind The Wheel
World In My Eyes
Personal Jesus
Enjoy The Silence

Somebody
Just Can't Get Enough
Everything Counts

Never Let Me Down Again
Goodnight Lovers

Superman Returns Teaser

You will probably want to right click and save as:

I'm really not too sure I like the actor they chose for this. Seems too...young and skinny. :( But the teaser is pretty spiffy. Love the Brando.

Jarhead

Jarhead wasn't anything like I thought it would be. Much more, philosophical and slow rather than a more action packed romp. Having said that though, it was still really really good.

I also saw a really really odd movie called Revolver. Has the guy from the Transporter in it(Jason Statham) and is by Guy Ritchie, the Snatch guy. It was, in a word, bizarre. However I recommend seeing it for that bizarreness, even if the way it all fit together and the ending were just too weird to digest.

Today my first Xbox 360 game arrives. The odd thing about that is the system itself isn't out for another few weeks, so I have nothing to play it on. But my god if I don't have a game to look at and hold and fondle!!! Sadly, the game I want most to play, Oblivion, has been delayed. :(

Halloween

Back at work again after a few days off. Went and saw the Avs this past weekend with Carrie, was a good game. Did Lunch with the Evils and their kids at a pretty nice mexican place. Halloween came and went with not a single trick or treater, which means lots of candy that needs to be consumed and therefore weight that will need to be lost!! : (

We saw the new Zorro flick this weekend as well. Its was good and about what you'd expect.

Carrie went back home yesterday, was a good visit. :)
