Happened to end up with my camera at work for some reason....
Click for larger versions of these as usual.
And oh nooooos, its one of me! I really didn't get any sleep at all last night, so thats why I look like a zombie.

In store for me this weekend is, more bookcase building(ugh), perhaps picking up my books from Jasons'(at last I'll have the room for them, thanks Jason for letting me keep them there!), setting up the new projector(woot!), picking up stand-in screen material and playing with mounting situations(icky), a highly anticipated phone call to Maria(giddy), and maybe even a trip to the bar for some Karaoke with Joe and maybe Linda if she's free(I've been trying to arrange this off and on for awhile now, but it just never comes together... Must make Linda sing!).

Don't relink these photos anywhere please. I'm really not sure if "Avatar" from the SA forums really wants these spread around or not, but I just HAD to share.
Robot Protestors, here are two of my favorite pics:
I really wish I could make all of the pictures and descriptions available to everyone, but its on the something awful forums, and if you aren't a member, you won't be able to see the thread. But for those that are.... The Robot Collective Marches on Madison
I am also temporarily hosting the video made at this. Right click and save as.
I've had this project for work looming over my head for quite some time now, and I *just* now finished it. Hurrah! Now I can maybe catch up on some of the other work that I've neglected a bit to get the project done.
Today/Tomorrow is the day that I finally order my new projector. I've been deliberating and doing research and measuring things for what seems like forever now, but I've finally settled on the Sanyo Z2. I'll let you all know how awesome it is, or not, sometime next week. I have to wait on my screen purchase for now, because to be honest, I have yet to figure out how I'll mount it. It is going to go above my fireplace, but there is no actual wall there, its just uneven rock... So I imagine I will have to ceiling mount, but since I'm not a handy man... yeah... right. So I'm going to go pick up some blackout cloth, or plastic panel, or a white bedsheet to experiment with until I decide what to do on that. Don't even get me started on ceiling mounting the projector, haha, for now it gets to be table mounted. :)
Recently fate conspired to introduce me to a really awesome woman(Fate is being played by my brother Joe). However, does someone want to tell me why any time I meet/encounter/etc any really awesome woman, they always happen to not actually live here or are moving shortly(or I guess, come to think of it in one case, I was moving)? ;) Bah. Bah I say! So yeah, my brother introduced(kind of) me to Maria, who happens to live in Texas. Really rare to encounter someone that is so interested in most of the same things that I am.

For those that don't check out comments, I need to repost something that my brother Joe said below. But before I do, let me just state for the record that you definitely should NOT click on the link unless you are prepared for a description of some ridiculously messed up sexual acts. Consider this a fair warning. This is NOT work safe. Mom, don't watch this. :) Freddie, go ahead!
"This perfect little South Park moment is from a movie called "The Aristocrats" that will be out later this year. It's a movie by me (Penn Jillette) and Paul Provenza. It's 100 comedians telling the same fucking dirty filthy fucking cunt-snot joke over and over. This South Park clip is not even in the top 5 for dirtiest." You can watch it here. WTF?! Crazy.

A cool quote that my brother sent me can be found behind the curtain since this post is already so long...
So, when the heart is stricken, and the head is humbled in dust, civilization fails us utterly. Back, back, we creep, and lay us like little children on the great breast of Nature, that she perchance may soothe us and make us forget, or at least rid remembrance of its sting. Who has not in his great grief felt a longing to look upon the outward features of the universal Mother; to lie on the mountains and watch the clouds drive across the sky and hear the rollers break in thunder on the shore, to let his poor struggling life mingle for a while in her life; to feel the slow beat of her eternal heart, and to forget his woes, and let his identity be swallowed in the vast imperceptibly moving energy of her of whom we are, from whom we came, and with whom we shall again be mingled, who gave us birth, and will in a day to come give us our burial also."-H. Rider Haggard from Allan Quatermain
Nerd moment. I just finished catching up on Angel through the end of season 4 and Buffy all the way to the end at season 7. All I can say is wow. From meager beginnings(Buffy season 1 was kinda wacky), these shows just kept becoming more and more badass every year. The end was fantastic, and really satisfying, but I'm also really sad to see it go. 5 stars, A++, etc etc. I will forever be an evangelist of these shows.
I finally got into my mailbox. Hip Hip Hooray! In addition, I also have my new washer and dryer and fridge now, so I'm pretty much done. I still need to assemble a few bookcases, and unpack, and clean a bit, but my place is essentially done now. There is still an empty space in my living room where the home theater should be, but I'll hopefully be squaring that away this week.
My brother Joe is coming up for a concert and he'll be up here tonight through Wednesday-ish. Should be fun.

I saw the Punisher this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised. Its not a "great" movie, but it was good and enjoyable for what it was. I'm really happy that nowadays I can go to a comic book based movie and expect it to be decent. 2 1/2 stars. Also saw Hellboy fairly recently. Really really fun flick. 4 stars.
Freddie and Mom got a new kitty.
His name is Keystone.

Here he is cuddling with the old cat, Hobo.

I miss having a cat. I of course don't miss the downsides of having a misbehaving cat, however. So the balance, at least temporarily, is still in favor of not getting one.

In honor of cats, here is a link to the "Flo Control". This guy is using image recognition to control the latch on a cat door. The purpose is to not let his cat in the house while its carrying anything in its mouth(No more dead rodent, bird, and baby bunny surprises in the middle of the living room). It also has the advantage of keeping out other visitors like Skunks, Birds, etc that have tried to make use of the door. Its spiffy, go check it out. :)
The floor stuff, plumbing, etc is all done now. Hip Hip Hooray! Still no dice on the mail, Going to just try paying a locksmith 40 dollars and be done with it. Tomorrow I need to purchase a Washer and Dryer for the new place, or I risk running out of clean clothes to wear. :)
Happy Belated Easter! This is what my brother Joe sent me:

Mountain Goat Man! -- Hehe, Its starts off a bit slow, but you'll be in awe after he starts leaping around like a mountain goat or jumping from roof top to roof top.

In the finishing up major purchases department, I've been doing hardcore research on my upcoming entertainment center and new computer purchases. I'm now debating between a DLP RPTV like the Samsung 50" and an actual front projection system. It would be wicked cool to have a projector and screen in my living room, so I'm definitely fully exploring the possibilities there. I actually ended up watching a movie and playing some Gamecube games on an "internet friend's" projection system last week and it was fantastic! Four player F-Zero racing and Super Smash Brothers fighting on a 60"+ projected screen.... Yum!

Went to the Dentist again today and ended up getting a root canal. Pricey! Burned through my dental coverage for the year and then some, but definitely worth it to have all of that sorted out. Need to head back in on the 29th for a Crown.
The floor people were supposed to be in this morning but postponed till tomorrow, all of that stuff should be reconciled tomorrow then in theory. Then all that will be left is getting into my mailbox. Maybe I can somehow squeeze that in tomorrow too!
Owwwwwww.
*writhe*
I apparently have an abcessed tooth. They are going to do a root canal on Monday, or possibly even extract it. In the mean time, I get to writhe around in pain because the antibiotics and pain meds they gave me are sooooo not doing the trick. I just came home from work early because I just couldn't hack it anymore. I need to be able to writhe and scream and moan without witnesses.
Today I spent a good deal of cash on some furniture to fill up my new place. It will get delivered on Saturday. I'm getting closer to being able to just sit at home and veg. Maybe by next weekend. :)
The linoleum and carpeting look great in the areas where they are done. The carpet folks need to come back and do the master bath and laundry area though still. This sucks, because it means I have to hold off on getting a new washer/dryer until next week sometime. I'll have to try and use someone elses soon. To keep up with the trend of nothing going right however, the carpet people managed to break two of my closet doors, shelving in the master closet, and the guest toilet. Their boss is swinging by the place tomorrow to take a look. Hopefully there will be resolution.
My stuff all arrived from the movers today as well, so that was a plus. The place is really starting to come together. Tomorrow I get to try again to get my mailbox rekeyed... Wish me luck! :)
